Wellbeing at heart of Altro's European Health Forum

Altro's European health forum Transforming spaces to improve wellbeing within healthcare was the focus of Altro’s latest European Forum, hosted at the company’s HQ in Letchworth. The two-day event brought together healthcare industry experts with care professionals from across Europe to share best practices and discuss the latest innovations, legislation, design and trends within the sector.

Healthcare specialist Gilling Dod Architects joined Dr Steve Thorpe, chair of the UK Slip Resistance Group, as well as experts from the Alzheimer’s Society and innovative residential care provider Mentaur Group, to present the latest thinking and host discussions along with Altro’s in-house development teams. Delegates from Germany, Spain, Sweden, Denmark and the UK ensured sharing of experiences and best practice from across Europe.

Joe Hurst, Altro’s Key Account Manager for Social Care, explained the value of collaborative events such as these help to create even more possibilities for those at the forefront of healthcare design. “We’re passionate about transforming spaces to enhance people’s emotional and physical wellbeing. This forum was an ideal platform to both share our expertise and learn from others as we work collaboratively to turn creative thinking into practical, real-world solutions for the benefit of all.”
