Altro design vision for Australian charity

Altro Wood Safety

Andie Halas founded Thread Together in 2012, a charity dedicated to making a difference to the homeless, victims of domestic violence, asylum seekers, indigenous communities, ex-inmates, and other vulnerable groups in the community. Thread Together collaborates with some of Australia’s largest clothing suppliers and social service agencies to collect end-of-line new clothes from clothing suppliers and re-distribute them to people in crisis.

The Thread Together headquarters in Sydney were in the process of setting up their new place of business. As a not for profit organisation, Thread Together rely on donations for their vision to come to life. Altro’s resident design specialist consultant created a space within a warehouse that is the community centre Thread Together needs, complete with Altro Wood Safety for the kitchenette.

“Thread Together could not be more grateful to Altro. Not only did their resident design specialist create a unique and inviting community centre within a warehouse, they supplied the flooring too. And to top it off, the Altro guys lay the floors and created design texture as well. A very generous organisation that do what they say they will, and do it with pride and attention to detail. Thank you for your donation” Andie Halas, Director - Thread Together

Altro Wood Safety works well with contemporary d├ęcor such as metal and glass areas, mood lighting, vibrant colours and monotone themes. It’s a great choice if you need to avoid any colour clashes.
