ALTRO SPORTS FLOORING HELPS WELSH NATIONAL TEAM TACKLE TRAINING
A complete package of Altro products, including Altro Mondo Sportflex sports flooring, has been used in a major refit of the Welsh national rugby team’s training centre at one ofWales’ top hotels.
The Vale Hotel and Spa Resort in the Vale of Glamorgan, which is used as a training base of the Welsh national rugby team, has used the Altro Mondo Sportflex in the refit of its sports facilities.
Altro’s tough all purpose sports floor, Altro Mondo Sportflex Sealskin, has been used extensively throughout the hotel’s facilities. The flooring has been used in the main gym and the specialised gym used by the Welsh squad. Specifiers were impressed with Sportflex’s durability and its impact resistance – something that’s important in a gym where free weights are used.
Sportflex was also specified because it complied with the very specific standards demanded by the Welsh Rugby Union and the Welsh Football Association.
As well as sports flooring, AltroCast TB Screed and AltroScreed Quartz resin products have been used in the hotel leisure club’s shower and changing areas. Altro Whiterock Illusions pvc wall cladding has also been used in the leisure club’s shower areas.
Joanna Mounty, Design Manager for Leekes, the Vale Hotel’s owners said: “We are delighted with the entire Altro package. The resin flooring is a big improvement on the tiles it replaced. It has made the changing rooms so much safer underfoot. With regards to the sports flooring that’s been used, we are more than happy with the way it is performing – as are the Welsh Rugby officials who use the facilities.”
The Vale Hotel’s owners have been delighted with the finished installation and plan to specify Altro products in future developments in the hotel’s grounds.
