I always knew that the Customer Care Team were dedicated to customer service but even I'm amazed at how far some of them will go to ensure an excellent customer experience.
recently one of our customers urgently needed 3 weld rods delivered to the Marks and Spencer site he was working on. The site was in Weymouth (165 miles from our warehouse in Letchworth) and were needed the next day, a Saturday.
We could easily arrange a special delivery but this would have meant some additional cost for the customer. In steps Lisa Bell who, coincidentally, is going to Weymouth that same weekend. She willingly volunteers to deliver the weld rods to the customer herself so the customer doesn't have to pay for the special delivery.
The customer's response to this: "This is the ultimate in customer service from Altro"
