Altro Hygienic Wall Cladding Products Receive CE Stamp Of Approval

Three Altro wall cladding product ranges have been awarded the European CE Mark, demonstrating their compliance with relevant EU safety, health and environmental protection legislation. Altro believes these to be the first hygienic wall cladding products in Europe to achieve the CE Mark.
Hygienic wall cladding has only recently been included under CE labelling. The EU CE initiative aims to ensure free movement within the European market by providing a visible indication of compliance with the relevant legislation. In addition to strengthening Altro’s position as a supplier of wall cladding throughout Europe, the CE Mark also provides UK customers with immediate recognition that their wall cladding products have full regulatory compliance.
The three product ranges awarded the CE Mark to date are Altro Whiterock White, Altro Whiterock Satins and Altro Whiterock Illusions. Further wall cladding products, including the popular Altro Whiterock Chameleon product range, characterised by its vivid colours and high gloss appearance, and Altro Whiterock Stone, are also being assessed with a view to certification in 2012.
Customers can expect to see the CE Mark appearing on all products produced from 3rd August 2011 onwards within these ranges. A Declaration of Conformity is available on request from Altro’s technical department.
