Sea-Land Flooring

Sea-Land Flooring was chosen for their installation at Ennerdale Leisure Centre, where they provided their customer with the complete hygienic wall and floor package. Altro Marine 20 flooring, designed for safety with wet bare feet or soft soled footwear, was combined with Altro Whiterock, a hygienic PVC wall cladding solution in the Leisure Centre’s swimming pool, shower and changing areas. Andy Cormack from the company explains further:

"Having installed over 200 sheets of Altro Whiterock and 250m² of Altro safety flooring at Woodford Leisure centre in Hull after the floods of 2007, we proposed the same specification for the refurbishment of the wet-side changing rooms at Ennerdale Leisure Centre. The main contractor fixed new wade outlets then Sea-Land had to adjust the falls in the floor to ensure the water ran into the new drains. Following two coats of Arditex NA smoothing compound and a coat of Altroproof dpm, Altro Marine 20 with A19 adhesive was installed to the whole area. The flooring was coved up the wall 150mm into the Altro Whiterock.

The changing room had old ceramic wall tiles, which had to be thoroughly degreased before the cladding was installed. Once clean Altro Whiterock Chameleon in two colours was fixed to the wall with two-part polyurethane adhesive which transformed the area.

From site survey to installation Altro provide us with a very professional service. Altro have some first class products which when installed by a professional contractor can give many years service.
