Some of Altro's most popular products such as Altro Mirica™ and Altro Stronghold K30™ were used in the refurbishment of the circulation areas, patient bedrooms, wet rooms and staff areas.

Altro Mirica, an innovative safety flooring with a patterned appearance specially designed to mask dirt and scuffs and retain its attractive appearance during daily wear and tear, was used within patient bedrooms. Altro Maxis™ was chosen for all general circulation corridors, a durable 2.5mm thick safety flooring incorporating Easyclean technology.

Within wet rooms, Altro Marine™ was used as it is designed to be walked on either barefoot or with soft-soled footwear. For a seamless appearance, colour matched weldrods and mastics are available, and it incorporates bacteriostat for enhanced hygiene. In the back-of-house sluice rooms Altro's 3.0mm thick Stronghold K30 was chosen for its slip resistance even when spillages occur.

To offer a warm and relaxed environment, Altro Timbersafe™ was used for offices and the staff kitchen, a product that combines the warm appearance of natural wood with the slip resistance and durability of safety flooring.

"The Langley House project demonstrates just how comprehensive Altro's range is. No matter what the desired function of a room or area, Altro will have a product which is perfectly suited. The products remain the most respected within the industry for floor layers to work with, and give the best cosmetic appearance." Jonathan Bown, Horizontal Ltd.

"Many of our patients are amputees who are adjusting to new mobility challenges, so having a flooring surface which minimises the risk of slips and trips is extremely important. Many of our floors were carpeted prior to the refurbishment, but found that their permeability quickly left them looking tatty as they would hold onto any dirt or spillages. Altro's floors are a great improvement, offering us a solution which holds its appearance well even in high traffic areas. They are also easy to keep clean and hygienic, which is key consideration for a healthcare provider like us."
