John Henry Newman School is a bustling environment with over 1,350 pupils, so it was important for the surfaces to be extremely durable, as well as eye catching and easy to maintain.
The school chose Altro surfaces when revamping its entrance hall and classrooms. Mirica was chosen to create an eye-catching and practical entrance to the school featuring an attractive circular design. Mirica is an innovative safety flooring with a patterned appearance specially designed to mask dirt and scuffs and retain its attractive appearance during daily wear and tear.
Classroom carpet was replaced with Timbersafe, a product that combines the warm appearance of natural wood with the slip resistance and durability of safety flooring. Incorporating Maxis Easyclean Technology, the new flooring is designed to retain its colour vibrancy and finish and is easy to maintain.
"Altro's products can always be relied on. I was pleased to be able to use new Altro flooring because of the great finish it achieves, its flexibility and ease of installation. It's reassuring to know that Altro's technical back up is always on hand should we have encountered any unforeseen problems on site." Rob Bennett from Bennetts Flooring Ltd

"We were very impressed when we had our first round of Altro products fitted. They have stood up to wear incredibly well and our walls and floors still look as good as the day they were installed. When we replaced the flooring in the Nash building recently, Altro was the obvious choice."
