Altro Suprema was combined with accents of Altro Timbersafe to create an eye-catching finish within the servery. Altro Suprema is a vinyl safety flooring which provides a safe and durable surface for general circulation areas, with no sign of the sparkle which is commonly associated with traditional safety flooring. Altro Timbersafe is the original wood-effect safety flooring, combining the warm feel of wood with Altro's renowned hygienic properties and slip and trip protection.

Within the kitchen the likelihood of spilled food or chemicals is greater, so Altro Stronghold was chosen as a heavier duty flooring product. Resilient, comfortable to walk on, and with good acoustic properties, Altro Stronghold combines excellent under-foot security with long-term durability and ease of cleaning.

Altro Whiterock, a semi-rigid hygienic uPVC cladding system, was applied to both walls and ceilings within the kitchen. This easy to clean surface is low maintenance and offers resistance to stains, chemical spillages and impact. Altro Whiterock ceilings have the same highend specification as the rest of the Whiterock family.

"Our aim was to bring Lakeside House to life through creative design and visually exciting products. Originally we planned to use tiles to create striking patterns for the servery floors, but we were concerned that these would not meet British Gas's hygiene and durability requirements.

"Instead we chose to use Altro Suprema, which offered us a great palate of colours to choose from, combined with wood-effect Altro Timbersafe. These two flooring products helped us create an attractive environment whilst providing the slip-resistance you would expect from a market leading safety flooring.
